The school expo showcases student projects brimming with creativity and innovation. Students from various grades participate, presenting diverse projects that reflect their interests and skills. This event is a highlight of the academic year, offering students a chance to apply their knowledge to real-world problems.
One of the key activities in schools is making deepam (lamps) using clay or recycled materials. Students learn how to shape and decorate their lamps, which are later lit as part of the celebrations.
Teachers conduct storytelling sessions to share the legends and stories associated with Diwali, such as the victory of Lord Krishna over Narakasura. These sessions help students understand the cultural and historical significance of the festival.
Diwali celebrations in schools also focus on teaching students the values of sharing and kindness. Schools may organise charity drives or encourage students to share sweets and gifts with classmates and staff.
